It is Apple after all, what else did we really expect? This third edition of the popular Apple watch is actually one of the best fitness trackers on the market right now. It has a slew of updated features, including an altimeter that can measure altitude to give you a better record of your exercises. It also has a built-in GPS for tracking your runs and bike rides. The main new feature with the Apple Watch 3 is the inclusion of LTE and cellular capabilities with the device – meaning it can do just about everything your phone can do. This feature isn’t for everyone though – so Apple offers a slightly less expensive version that nixes this. If the price tag is still a little high for you, the discontinued Apple Watch 2 is still a great fitness tracker, or the Tom Tom Spark 3 below.

The battery life is at 3 weeks without the GPS functionality turned on, and 9 hours when it is. Additionally it is waterproof up to 40 m, making it a great alternative to the Apple Watch at less than half the cost.
