6 Incredible Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar

Vinegar and Apples

Have you heard of the health benefits of apple cider vinegar? If you haven’t, you really are missing out on something special. No offense there, as I was in the dark about it until recently too! I’m not a huge fan of vinegar so I always avoided ACV, but when I learned a little more about it I changed my tune in a hurry.

Apple cider vinegar has so many uses for just about anything, including your home, your skin, your hair and nails, your digestion and even your pets can benefit from it!

One word of warning though if you go out to pick up some ACV: Make absolutely sure to get the raw, organic and unfiltered version with the “mother” still inside. This will ensure you are enjoying the best version of ACV there is.

Try Apple Cider Vinegar Over Other Cleaning Products

Give apple cider vinegar a try in lieu of other chemical laden cleaning products. ACV contains anti-microbial compounds that will kill bacteria and leave most surfaces shiny clean. Try diluting the vinegar in a one to one (1:1) mixture with water and use to clean bathrooms, hardwood floors, tiles, etc.

Try it for unclogging drains, removing ink stains from walls, removing mildew from your bathroom, and more.

The best part is ACV contains no harmful chemicals and is all natural! I’d be hard-pressed to find a better cleaner than that.

Give Your Hair a Boost

Try using ACV as a rinse after you shampoo. This will give your hair more shine and body, and some people even utilize it as a way to reduce hair loss and increase the thickness of healthy hairs. Give it a try!

Remove Stains From Teeth

Good ole Apple Cider Vinegar is also a potent stain remover, and can remove stains from your teeth. The acetic acid in the vinegar works to remove the buildup of plaque on enamel, which is what gives your teeth that yellow hue.  Try rubbing your teeth directly with apple cider vinegar and see if your teeth aren’t whiter afterwards.

Plus, ACV also kills some of the bacteria found in your mouth. This won’t make your teeth whiter, but it will give you fresher smelling breath! Bacteria can also lead to cavities and gingivitis, so killing it will lead to better overall mouth health!

A Weight Loss Ally

For daily weight management, many holistic health practitioners recommend adding 2 teaspoons of ACV to 16 ounces of water. Do this at least once a day. Some studies, albeit a limited amount, have showed weight loss effects from acetic acid, which is the main ingredient in apple cider vinegar.

A study from 2009 published in Bioscience, Biotechnology and Biochemistry found that the subjects who consumed acetic acid for 12 weeks experienced a declines in body weight, abdominal fat and waist circumference.

Achieve Balance With ACV

All systems are constantly trying to find equilibrium. Drinking apple cider vinegar helps the body to maintain a healthy alkaline pH level, which leads to higher energy and reduces the incidence of infections.

Beat Candida

These days, candida has become quite the issue with our diets high in sugars and the overabundance of antibiotics. Many people have a candida overgrowth but do not realize it. What they do realize is lower levels of energy, brain fog, decreased reaction time and depression. Feeling like this is not the body’s normal state!

Drinking ACV can help to kill candida and restore the gut flora to the proper balance. The vinegar is rich in enzymes that help to destroy this nasty infection. Removing candida can also give your brain a boost and improve memory, cognition and get rid of that “fuzzy” feeling in your mind.

You can probably see now why many people consider apple cider vinegar a miracle product! It has so many uses and benefits and can be found for very cheap. So give it a try and see how it can change your life!
